PR agency results: Carolyn Radford personal PR case study

February 21, 2018Rich Leigh
PR agency results - Carolyn Radford

Carolyn Radford, at Field Mill, the home of Mansfield Town FC

At the time the youngest CEO of a professional football club in the world, and one of only two female CEOs in professional football, Mansfield Town’s Carolyn Radford enlisted our personal PR agency support to increase her media profile and build her reputation as a leading woman in business and sport.

Within a period of just nine months, Carolyn’s profile was given an about-turn, even recently being confirmed as a panelist on an upcoming episode of the UK’s biggest political TV show.

As a PR agency with a team of personal PR experts, we identified several audiences as being important to developing Carolyn’s reputation, building outwards by considering how and where we could find allies that related to Carolyn’s abilities and areas of expertise. We highlighted a number of key reputation-orientated focuses, and ensured key messaging was worked into all media pitches.

Through social media management, writing regular blog content, reputation management through media profiles and interviews, as well as speaking, judging and panel opportunities for Carolyn, we have reached our target audiences with those key messages and, to date, achieved our aim of increasing her profile and building her reputation.

With hundreds of media mentions, including prominent women’s lifestyle titles such as Stylist, Harper’s Baazar and Red, football-specific interviews in The Guardian, The Sun, The Metro UK and iNews and profiles as a business person in the likes of Business Advice, The Telegraph and the BBC, we have reached millions of people.

At the same time, we increased the size of Carolyn’s cross-platform social media audiences by more than 700%.

Through our efforts, Carolyn has also been asked to talk at the Institute of Directors’ ‘Women as Leaders‘ event, Enterprise Nation’s Festival of Female Entrepreneurs, the Women in Sport Summit, the Stadium Business Summit, Stylist Live and many more.
