B2B brand and link-building project: Launching Outfund

It’s not just consumer brands that benefit from our link-building PR for SEO expertise, and our recent work with Outfund proves just that.

We’ve worked a lot in the investment space over the last decade – with leading VC funds and their portfolio companies to help fuel fast growth – and we know the space very well. As one of the first growth funding platforms of its kind in the UK, Outfund wanted an approach to comms that went against the (often) stuffy B2B norm.

Outfund had initially planned to officially launch in March but…well we all know what happened then!

Fast-forward to April and with the pandemic looking set to stick around for a while and businesses, particularly start-ups, in need of some much-needed cash injections, we rolled out our two-pronged launch plan:

  1. Coverage and links in key titles across finance, FinTech, investment and business media
  2. Links from high DA sites to drive traffic and improve ranking of the new site

Results

Phase One: Coverage of launch in titles including AltFi, Finextra, and Angel News, alongside profile and opinion pieces on sites including Real Business, Growth Business, and CEO Today. Most of the online coverage also included a link.

Phase Two: We developed a story with a strong consumer angle as many of the highest DA sites are consumer media, including national media. The story secured coverage across 34 titles, including The Sun, Tyla.com, LadBible, and The Mirror, with a total of 58 links (homepage and onsite content) and an average DA of 75.

Most importantly, within days of launching the story in phase two, Outfund reported back to us that it had already seen a marked increase in both traffic to site and ranking. That’s the kind of early feedback we love!
